1. Production
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. Organic Chemistry
Experience: 3–8 years in API industry
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- API production and bulk drug manufacturing
- Batch start-up activities and monitoring
- Calibration of balances
- Review of BMR, batch records, SOPs and validation protocols
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Knowledge and exposure to cGMP is mandatory
2. Quality Control
Qualification: M.Sc. Organic Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / M.Pharm
Experience: 1–3 years in API industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine HPLC and GC analysis
- Evaluate product quality and analytical results
- Operate and calibrate laboratory instruments according to SOPs
- Analyze raw materials, intermediates and finished products
- Conduct stability studies and evaluate results
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
- Follow cGMP, ICH and applicable pharmaceutical regulatory guidelines
3. Analytical Development Laboratory (ADL)
Qualification: M.Sc. Organic Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / M.Pharm
Experience: 3–8 years in API industry
Key Skills:
- Method development and optimization using HPLC and LCMS
- Method validation according to regulatory and ICH guidelines
- Preparation and review of specifications and Methods of Analysis (MOA)
- GLP-related activities, including instrument calibration and qualification
- Standard management
- Preparation and review of analytical documentation, protocols and reports
